Dr. Rajagopal earned his medical degree from the University of Michigan in Ann Arbor, Mich. He completed his internship at the University of Washington in Seattle and his residency at Stanford University in Palo Alto, Calif. Dr. Rajagopal fulfilled a cardiology fellowship with the Cleveland Clinic Foundation in Cleveland, Ohio. He completed his undergraduate training at The Johns Hopkins University in Baltimore, Md.
He is board certified in internal medicine, cardiovascular medicine, nuclear cardiology and interventional cardiology.
Dr. Rajagopal has special interest and expertise in Mitral and Aortic Valves and is the Principal Investigator of two FDA approved Clinical trials. “CoreValve” an investigational device for transcatheter aortic valve implantation (TAVI) treatment of severe aortic stenosis and “Evalve” a MitralClip Mitral Valve repair system for treatment of severe mitral valve disorders.
