BLAIRSVILLE, Ga. (Sept. 10, 2009) – Piedmont Heart Institute Physicians at Blairsville welcome Sammy Arnold Gammenthaler, M.D., FACC, to their medical team beginning Monday, Sept. 14. Dr. Gammenthaler joins John Walter Kelley, M.D., and Michael Sabom, M.D., in the Blairsville office at 49 Weaver Road, Suite B.

Dr. Gammenthaler earned his medical degree from Loma Linda University School of Medicine in Loma Linda, Calif. He then completed his residency in internal medicine as well as his fellowship in cardiology at the Loma Linda University Medical Center. Board-certified in internal medicine as well as cardiovascular disease, Dr. Gammenthaler is also a member of the American Medical Association and a fellow of the American College of Cardiology.

Prior to joining Piedmont Heart Institute Physicians at Blairsville, Dr. Gammenthaler served as associate medical director for MedSolutions, Inc. in Franklin, Tenn. He was also an associate cardiologist at Park Ridge Cardiology in Fletcher, N.C.
